NAME: Carrie Pierce CAMPUS: Texas A&M University PAPER: The Maroon Weekly I began my love affair with writing when I was 6 years old and tried writing my autobiography. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much to say. Over the years, with the onset of puberty and the discovery that men are the single most confusing thing in the world, I have had a lot more to write about. While writing for the Texas A&M newspaper, The Battalion I constantly begged for a relationship column. When The Maroon Weekly, a weekly entertainment paper was born, I started “Sex and the Station,” humiliating my friends and outing my exes with tales of their sexual follies. Originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, I graduated from Texas A&M in May 2006 with a degree in Journalism and moved to Dallas. I am now the managing editor of Addison Magazine, an upscale North Dallas publication. I also write “Fashion Police,” a fashion column for The Maroon Weekly and am a contributing writer for Young Money Magazine. When I’m not writing or trying to figure out men, I enjoy going out with friends, shopping, decorating, discovering new music, reading and traveling. One day I want to live in Europe and write a novel. |
