Ask E. Jean - Tormented? Driven Witless? Whipsawed by confusion?

ATTENTION POTENTIAL TAWKIFY INTERNS:

If you wish to be considered for one of the intern positions, a requirement, as stated by E.Jean, is to become acquainted with this website and offer your advice - so that E.Jean and Kenneth can get an idea of how you write, how you think, how you interact with other people.

This is crucial in order for you to move forward in the process!!

I wouldn't want a potential intern to get penalized for not following the applications process correctly, so...

If you look carefully at E. Jean's original post, it doesn't explicitly say that applicants must become acquainted with this website and offer their advice on it. It only says that they should post an *introduction* to themselves on this site -- which should in and of itself demonstrate how well the candidate writes, how charmingly he or she engages people's interest, and how wise and witty he or she is when it comes to advising people in matters of romance.

After that, the only thing candidates were required to do was e-mail their photo and resume to the address provided. Assuming that all the applicants have followed up with such an e-mail, they have so far done exactly what has been asked of them. E. Jean may have *meant* to ask candidates to also become active on this site and post advice, but her original posting didn't make that clear.

As I say, I'm only posting this because I'd hate for someone to think they are going to be unfairly penalized in the hiring process when they did, in fact, carefully follow the rules as originally laid out.

    E. Jean, perhaps you'd care to clarify?

Personally, I hope that some (if not all) of the candidates stick around and offer up some advice to various posters here on AV. It looks like a great group of candidates so far ... E. Jean and Kenneth, you've got your work cut out for you in the selection process!
