i tend to hesitate while i meet someone new, and then regret later for not being forward. afterwards things fizzle. what can i do to fix this problem?

    When in doubt, smile.

    Seriously, that's it. You worry you'll come on too strong. You worry they won't know you're interested if you don't. When in doubt, make eye contact and smile.

    They will at the very least know that you enjoy their company. It's not too forward. But it also let's people in a little (eye contact while you smile is key).

    Smile and ask them questions to encourage them to talk about themselves. A lot of people love to talk but there is a shortage of good listeners so ask, listen and then ask follow-up questions to keep them going.
